Our Mission & Vision
At The Friendship School, each child is a masterpiece
We believe that every child has the right to a high-quality early childhood education. Students at TFS are creators and curators, using a museum approach to demonstrate their learning. As a museum school, our purpose is to set students on the path of life-long learning, equipping them with the academic and social competencies necessary for success in school and beyond.
Together we will:
- Notice Deeply
- Explore Boldly
- Create Joyfully
Relationships are Key to a Young Child
TFS is a family. Staff, parents, and caregivers partner to ensure a child's educational and socio-emotional needs are met.
A Child's School Environment Matters
The TFS school environment is state-of-the-art, safe, and nurturing. It is rich in literacy, numeracy, and research-based teaching practices. Staff are committed to delivering the highest-quality experiences, so each child may grow into their very best self.
Children Work Together as Active Explorers
TFS is an inquiry-based school where emphasis is placed on a child's role in their own learning. Children explore materials that are of interest to them. Children are encouraged to wonder about their world, ask questions, seek information, and use that information to share ideas and solve real-life problems.
Our family has a wonderful experience at The Friendship School. We had heard great things about TFS from our family and friends and sent our oldest son, Elijah, there 3 years ago. When our youngest son, Emerson, turned 3, it was a no brainer to send him to TFS! Every teacher, administrator, and staff member we've had the pleasure to interact with has always been kind, warm, and welcoming. We love the curriculum and how engaging it is with the community, both inside the school and out. What we find most beneficial about TFS is that it's welcoming, diverse, accommodating, and always puts the children and their families first. I know my son is getting a great education. We can't thank the amazing teachers and staff enough and look forward to returning to TFS next year!
