LEARN's Family of Schools
Choosing a School? You have options.
The term "school choice" means parents have an opportunity to choose the schools their child will attend. Traditionally, children are assigned to a public school according to where they live and a child's school is assigned by the school district. School choice means students can choose to attend an academic institution other than their assigned (based on residency) public school. School choice provides a student with the option to attend their home district, magnet schools, technical schools, charter schools, private schools, and agricultural science schools.
Make an informed decision when it comes to your child's education. Each educational choice comes with its own set of advantages and considerations. Public magnet schools offer specialized programs or curricula that attract students from different neighborhoods or districts. They aim to promote diversity and provide unique educational opportunities. Consider your child's unique needs, learning styles, and family priorities when making decisions about where to send your child to school.
